If you don't have access to a cycling community in your area, or if you're more comfortable cycling on your own, you can still use the site to map your favorite routes and view distance and elevation information. Members can invite friends to CyclistNexus by clicking on the Tell a Friend link that's shown in their user profile and in many other areas of the site. By inviting friends with this link, you become eligible to earn Peleton Points when your friends join.What are Peleton Points and why would I want them? Peleton Points are a way of tracking a CyclistNexus member's contributions to the online community. Whenever a member participates in the community, by creating a route, scheduling an event, or doing other activities that are a natural part of being a member, they earn Peleton Points. Your Peleton Point score is an indicator to others of your level of involvement and your contribution to the community. Members who achieve a high Peleton Point score enjoy higher prestige in the community and a few extra stars next to their username in their profile.I'm a bike shop owner or other small business person, can I join using the name of my business? Again, the short answer is yes. We encourage commercial members who are active participants in their local cycling community to become members.I want to market my own web site, can I join? Membership in the CyclistNexus community is limited to individuals and businesses that are joining for the purpose of using the site's features and contributing to the CyclistNexus community. The Terms of Use specifically prohibit use of the site for commercial purposes other than those directly related to participation in the cycling community.
